As well as browsing the entries to all the show competitions there are a whole range of other events to keep you entertained throughout the day. Activities for children on the showfield are FREE!



Fellside Alpacas from Rookhope will be visiting the show this year. Alpacas have a sweet, gentle nature. They are inquisitive and will readily eat treats out of your hands. The boys also love to pose for selfies!

Billy Black is a tremendously charismatic rock performer and his soaring vocals create a truly electric atmosphere. First class lighting, dynamic sound and a truly excellent live band make this One Unmissable Show!

We are delighted to welcome Peter Leadbeater back to the Weardale Show once again. He has demonstrated his art all over the country and taken part in several of the large chainsaw carving competitions, competing with the best chainsaw carvers in the world.

Richard Salkeld, a fully qualified chef will also be holding three cooking demonstrations during the day making some amazing dishes, the smells are wonderful.

Watch in amazement as our very own local Fire Service shows you their skill in rescue with their car cutter display. Defibrillator demonstrations throughout the day.

Adrian & Caroline Slater have top Gun Dog display team in the UK. A highly professional demonstration of preparing a dog for the shooting field, starting out with puppies and young dogs to the finished fully trained Gun Dog.
